Detailed Description

The Multiple Sclerosis People's Help charity shop in Thornbury requires one or more volunteers willing to PAT test donated electrical equipment. If necessary we will be willing to pay for you to be trained to carry out PAT testing.

Why these skills are required

PAT testing involves a formal visual check of the appliance's physical condition, followed by a series of manual tests to check the appliance's electrical safety.

What is in it for you

If you are not already qualified to carry out PAT testing, we will pay for you to attend a short course, possibly undertaken on-line in your own home. You will get a recognised qualification and the knowledge that your efforts will go towards making life easier for those with Multiple Sclerosis.

Time Commitment

One morning or one afternoon a week, days to be agreed.
