Welcoming visitors and sharing canal information, history, and restoration updates.
Provide a warm welcome to visitors, sharing information about the canal, its history, and CCT activities. Promote membership and assist with sign-ups. Handle shop sales using the till and card machine. Replenish stock and keep the visitor centre clean and tidy. Support volunteer-led talks, guided walks, and occasional external events to help engage the community and raise awareness.

Friendly and engaging with the public. Comfortable handling simple sales and recording procedures. Interest in the canal restoration project and local history. Any retail, customer service, or public engagement experience is useful but not essential. Familiarity with the canal route or boating experience is helpful but not required.
Opportunity to contribute to a significant historical restoration project. Help promote and support an important community restoration project. Work as part of a dedicated team of volunteers on a wide variety of interesting and rewarding tasks. Flexible shift options allow volunteers to contribute as their schedule permits. Opportunity to interact with visitors and share enthusiasm for the canal.
