One Million Bags is a fast-growing, community-driven movement encouraging people to get outdoors, get active, and give back by collecting one million bags of litter. Featured on BBC Morning Live, BBC Points West, and highlighted by councils and community organisations across the UK, the challenge is simple. We’re inviting volunteers of all ages and backgrounds to join in. Time Commitment

Volunteers can take part at any time that suits them. Even 15–30 minutes a week makes a real difference. This role is available across Thornbury, Alveston, Bradley Stoke, Yate, Patchway, Filton, and all surrounding South Gloucestershire areas. Volunteers can litter pick in any local park, street, green space, or neighbourhood that suits them.

As this is a flexible volunteering role, volunteers can take part in any local area that is convenient for them. No travel is required, simply choose a nearby street, park, footpath, or green space and get started.
