Key Responsibilities Welcome visitors and create a friendly, inclusive atmosphere. Conduct guided tours for individuals, families, school groups, and other visitors. Explain exhibits, artefacts, and historical or cultural significance in an engaging manner. Demonstrate given exhibits which can involve opening and closing large doors or operating equipment or using props and images to tell a story. Answer visitor questions accurately and professionally. Adapt tours to suit different age groups, interests, and accessibility needs. Encourage visitor participation through discussions

Essential: Interest in history, art, science, culture, or the museum’s subject area. Friendly, approachable, and enthusiastic manner. Strong communication and customer service skills. Confidence interacting with a wide range of people. Reliability, punctuality, and a responsible attitude. Ability to follow procedures and remain calm in busy situations. Desirable: Experience in customer service, hospitality, or public-facing roles. Knowledge of additional languages. Awareness of accessibility and inclusion best practices.
