Supporting those aged over 50 to embrace digital technology.
Our Digital Inclusion Project supports people over in 50 through a person centred approach, providing support tailored to their needs. This may be helping people to access areas such social media, internet shopping, NHS apps or internet banking. Being digitally included can help older people carry out the activities that matter most to them, stay connected with family and friends, access essential services and remain socially connected. This project is delivered on a 1-1 basis across South Gloucestershire, or in group workshops currently held in Hanham, Kingswood or Yate.

Although the role requires you to be confident in using technology such as smart phones and tablets, no teaching experience is necessary and you will be given full training and support.
You will gain great satisfaction in helping older people achieve their goals and feel more socially connected. You will receive ongoing support and training in areas such as safeguarding and dementia. You will gain skills and confidence in working 1-1 with people or in groups, which may be also be beneficial in your working life.
1hr + per week, either at the group sessions or 1-1 in peoples homes - for which the time is flexible around your current commitments.
