Supporting events to raise funds for Age UK South Gloucestershire.
Age UK South Gloucestershire relies heavily on donations and fundraising to provide services to older people across the region. This role is incredibly varied and includes duties such as: • Assisting at fundraising events like sponsored walks, golf days, quiz nights etc. With tasks like setup, greeting attendees, or managing registrations • Running stalls at summer fetes and community events. • Taking part in bucket collections. • Help with raffles and auctions by sourcing prizes. • Support the planning and promotion of events—spreading the word on social media or in your community.

We are looking for someone who – • Is enthusiast , friendly and enjoys working part of a team • Has good communication skills and is comfortable engaging with people in the community • Is adaptable and willing to take on a variety of tasks • Brings creativity and initiative to help make events a success • No previous experience is needed just a positive attitude and the desire to make difference
You will be given full training and support and will be part of a wider team helping to make these events a success. You will learn/develop/utilise existing team work and organisational skills. Travel expenses and references are provided when required.
We welcome volunteers (individuals or corporate groups) who can only attend one-off events, as well as volunteers who want to commit to events throughout the year - helping on the event itself and in preparation.
