Improving Homes & Wellbeing Volunteer

Age UK South Gloucestershire

Addressing short term needs by reducing household hazards/risks to improve independence & wellbeing.

Detailed Description

Working under the Improving Homes and Wellbeing team, volunteers undertake practical tasks to improve the homes and gardens which have fallen into disrepair. No 2 jobs are the same, and you will be working in a team to tackle issues such as severe garden overgrowth/waste, damp and hoarding. This is a very 'hands-on' role requiring the volunteer to be able to complete manual tasks. The team will then seek to build a circle of person-centred support around those affected and work with them to find lasting solutions, improve their homes, and so improve their independence and wellbeing.
